Automate patient follow-ups
Set up outreach that sends itself — sequences, recalls, and post-visit follow-ups — with every message tracked end to end.
ContactFollowUp has three complementary tools for follow-up. Use sequences for multi-step nurture, recalls for time-based re-engagement, and follow-up rules for post-appointment outreach. An in-app scheduler runs them automatically — you set them up once.
1. Build a sequence
A sequence is an ordered set of EMAIL, SMS, and WAIT steps. Open Sequences, create one, and add steps in the builder. Enroll a contact from their record or in bulk from a list.
Once a contact is enrolled, the scheduler advances them one step at a time on schedule — no manual nudging.
2. Schedule recalls
Recalls re-engage patients who are due back (annual visit, 6-month checkup). Open Recall, choose a channel (email, SMS, or both), set the due date, and write the message. The scheduler sends it when it comes due.
3. Post-visit follow-up rules
Follow-up rules fire after an appointment is completed. Configure them in Follow-ups— for example, “send a check-in message 2 days after any completed annual physical.”
4. See every send
Every email and text — from any of the tools above — is recorded in the Communicationsledger: who was contacted, on which channel, when, the delivery status, and (for email) opens and clicks. You’ll also see a contact’s history on the Communications tab of their record.
